At Magnar Cavaliers, We made ourselves a promise long before our first litter was ever born:

We will never become the breeder who loses their heart along the way.

We have seen it happen in this industry…
People begin with love and end with spreadsheets, hate, bullying and pure jealousy.
Dogs become numbers.
Litters become income.
And breeding becomes convenience instead of calling.

Not here.

Not ever.

We don’t look at a heat cycle and see dollar signs.
We see responsibility.
We see planning.
We see the generations that came before and the families waiting on the other side.
We see and hear exceptional breeders and learn from them.
We learn everyday.

Because in our program, our Cavaliers aren’t “breeding dogs.”
They’re family.
Sleeping on our kids’ beds… stealing the lounge… being loved through every season of their lives.

And every pairing we make is intentional, guided by health, temperament, structure, and purpose… not trends, not colours, not what will “sell fast.”

We DNA test thoroughly.
We heart test yearly with specialists.
Eyes cleared.
Patella’s checked.
Genetics understood.
Lines researched.
And we protect the great genetics and pedigrees our cavaliers carry like the treasure it is.

We don’t breed to impress the internet.
We breed to protect the breed.

We haven’t and will never chase viral colours or quick litters.
We would rather have exceptional, ethically planned litter’s than careless ones.
Because anyone can put two dogs together.
But not everyone is willing to carry the emotional, physical, and moral weight that comes with doing this properly.

And yes we still feel everything!!

We still get butterflies when a mama’s temperature drops.
We still sit on the whelping room floor at 2am with a quiet puppy on our chest “just to be sure.”
We still stay awake for weeks supporting our mums and the puppies eventually end up sleeping on the floor beside them, we still celebrate every milestone like it’s our very first litter.

We pray over our cavaliers.
Before breeding.
During pregnancy.
During whelping.
And long after they leave in the arms of the families who’ve trusted us.

Because when a puppy is born at Magnar, they take a piece of us with them.
That doesn’t fade at eight weeks… it doesn’t fade, ever.

Our puppies go home with more than a folder, an amazing puppy pack and lifetime support.
They go home as an extension of our hearts a continuation of everything we value, protect, and believe in.

Some breeders breed puppies.
We raise family members.

Some breeders focus on what they can get.
We focus on what we can give.

And as long as Magnar Cavaliers exists, this will be our standard
even when it’s hard,
even when no one sees the behind-the-scenes,
even when it would be easier to cut corners.

Our dogs deserve it.
Our families deserve it.
